Sometimes I rant about dock inspections because they are so unbelievably crucial to the safety of our family and friends.  As a realtor I insist my buyers and sellers have the docks inspected.  It's $50!  We want to be certain that we are transferring a SAFE dock to the new owner.  But what about these lake properties that rarely change hands.  Is the owner responsible enough to have a dock inspection on a regular basis to ensure the safety of those around his dock?
